Drake Lamar Spears

May 5, 1998 - November 3, 2020

Drake Lamar Spears, age 22 and a resident of Pine, died early Tuesday morning November 3, 2020 following a tragic automobile accident near Amite. Drake was a 2016 graduate of Bowling Green School, where he was a standout member of the Buccaneer Football team. Drake was named an MPSA All-Star during his senior year and he had the opportunity to continue playing football for Maryville College in North Dakota. He was a great teammate and loved by all his coaches. He was also loved by all his teachers and classmates because of his kind-hearted, friendly nature that allowed him to always put others before himself. Drake currently was employed at Global Construction, working on pipelines, and he liked to stay physically fit by lifting weights and exercising almost daily. He was a member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church, where he trusted the Lord as a young boy, and was loved by all his church family. Drake enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, being at the river and spending time with his family, sisters and brothers, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed listening to music and even played a little guitar with his buddies. Drake loved his many dogs, especially his German Shepard “Max”. He was taken to his Heavenly Home far too early but he left precious memories that will last a lifetime for all those that knew him.
