Billy Paul Jones

October 8, 1970 - September 3, 2020

Billy Paul Jones, age 49 and a resident of the Enon Community, passed away Thursday morning September 3, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was born October 8, 1970 and was a 1989 graduate of Franklinton High School. He later obtained certification as a diesel and gasoline engine mechanic from Sullivan Vocational School. Paul has worked in the produce department at Walmart in Covington for the last 18 years. He enjoyed spending time outside working in his flower garden and cutting his grass. Paul loved riding his 4-wheeler and deer hunting and had a special place in his heart for his pet dog “Lil Girl”.

Survived by: Wife: Maria Paula Jones; Father and Step-Mother: Billy I. Jones and Pat Jones; 2 Brothers in law and Spouses: Andy Cimino and Lisa Cimino, Tony Cimino and Ken Fielder; 2 Step-Brothers and Spouses: Charles and Livia Mooney, Jon and Denise Mooney; 2 Step-Sisters and Spouses: Crystal and Chase Danos, Linda and Chris Hill; Also numerous other family members, many friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Sue Mitchell Jones, paternal grandparents Ivan Jones and Erma Jean Jones, uncles Greg Jones and Albert Jones.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Saturday September 5th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.
