Nell Davis Crain
January 20, 1929 - June 16, 2020



Nell Davis Crain, age 91 and a resident of Pine, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday June 16, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was a longtime active member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church and a former beautician for many years. Nell worked, alongside her family, for 40 years at Bennie’s Garden Center. She was always a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survived by: Daughter: Deanie C. Ingram of Pine; Son: Bennie E. Crain of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Megan Crain, Ashley Spears, Brent Jonathan “B.J.” Crain, Trent Crain all of Pine; 13 Great-grandchildren; Sister in law and Brother in law: Juanita and Johnny Ramshur; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her son Yancey Brent Crain, husband Benard C. Crain, parents Arnold Winston Davis and Carrie McCain Davis, sisters Exie Stringer, Elsie Kennedy, brothers William Davis, Hulon Davis, sisters in law and brothers in law Burnettie and L.E. Toney, Gladys and Doug Kennedy, Maudine Crain

Visitation will be at Pine Missionary Baptist Church Friday June 19th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 am Friday with Bro. Adam Luper and Bro. Brent King officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Community Cemetery.
