Iris P. Griffin
March 13, 1926 - March 28, 2018


Iris P. Griffin, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
She is survived by her son, David Griffin of Bogalusa, LA; her daughter, Debbie (Brian) Baughman of Bogalusa, La; two sisters, Charlene Stringer of Tylertown, MS and Iva Mize of Tylertown, MS; two grandchildren, Brad (Raven) Baughman of Bush, LA and Blake (Stacey) Baughman of Bogalusa, LA; three great grandchildren, Brycen Baughman, Elizabeth Baughman and Parker Baughman; her brother-in-law, John A. “Jack” LaBauve of Baton Rouge, LA; and her sister-in-law, Kaye Griffin of Tylertown, MS.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Albert Griffin; her parents, Byron and Ovie Patten; her two sisters, Wilder Magee and Lila Goodwin; and her three brothers, Wesley Patten, Wilson Patten, and B.E. Patten, Jr.
There will be a visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church from 9:00 A.M. and will continue until time of service at 11:00 A.M. followed by a graveside funeral service at Boyd Cemetery in Tylertown, MS. at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Micah Mitchell and Rev. Dale Oden will officiate.
