Narcotics Task Force Makes Multiple Arrests in Pearl River Area

Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force wrapped up two unrelated narcotics investigations last month in the Pearl River-area that resulted in the arrests of four individuals and arrest warrants issued for another. Nearly one half ounce of Methamphetamine intended for distribution, more than 300 prescription pills intended for distribution, assorted drug paraphernalia, and 16 firearms were seized as a result of these two investigations.
Arrested were James Smith (62), Glynn Acy, Jr. (51), and Nicolas Payne (32), all of Pearl River. A summons was issued for Glynn Patrick Acy, III for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Arrest warrants were issued for Geoffrey Bennett of Pearl River for Flight from an Officer and No Seatbelt.
The STPSO Narcotics Task Force in comprised of detectives from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Mandeville Police Department, Covington Police Department and Slidell Police Department.
