Just Throwing Drugs Out the Window Doesn't Work

Monday morning (December 4, 2017), Bogalusa Police Department Patrolman Josh Oalman was traveling behind a vehicle on W. 8th Street and could not read the license plate due to it being covered up. After the vehicle turned on Avenue B, Officer Oalman attempted to make a traffick stop. Officer Oalmann observed the driver lean over and throw several objects out of the front passenger window then continued driving. After a short distance, the driver pulled over and stopped the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Brandon Thomas (20) of Bogalusa. Officers located 3 white pills identified as Buprenorphine Hydrochloride and Naloxone Hydrochloride.
Thomas was arrested pm the charges of Possession of Schedule lll Narcotics, Obstruction of Justice, Improper Equipment (display of license plate) and a Probation/Parole Hold.
