Fugitives Returned from MS. To Mandeville

On Wednesday September 6, 2017 Patrick Cole (34) and Tara Beisel (31), both of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, waived extradition in Mississippi and were brought back to Mandeville where they were officially booked with last week’s (Thursday, Aug 31st) auto theft and kidnapping.
Mandeville Police had received a frantic call from a mother whose vehicle was stolen, with her small child inside, when she went inside a gas station. Soon afterward, MPD received a call of a small child in the roadway three blocks away. The thieves later admitted to putting the child out after stealing the car and the child was quickly retrieved and reunited with its mother. The mother's cell phone had been left in the vehicle and police used it to track the thieves as they traveled into Mississippi where Harrison County deputies apprehended the pair.
Cole and Beisel were additionally booked with one count each of possession of stolen property after detectives tied the pair to a second stolen vehicle that was recovered the following day (Friday Sept 1st) in the parking lot of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Store. The second vehicle in question was stolen from the couple’s home state of Oklahoma and had stolen Florida license plates.
