Yesterday, Governor John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions. Mary Lee Oliphant, of Bush, was reappointed to the Louisiana Animal Welfare Commission. Ms. Oliphant is a realtor associate with Gardner Realtors and a dog breeder. She will serve as a commercial dog breeder on the Commission.
The Louisiana Animal Welfare Commission was created within the office of the governor for the purpose of assisting the governor's office of community programs to ensure and promote the proper treatment and well-being of animals.
