2018 Field of Dreams Dinner & Auction is Friday, November 30
The Field of Dreams Dinner and Auction, benefiting the Franklinton High School baseball and softball programs, is Friday, November 30, 2018 at the 1010 Club located at 1010 Bene Street in Franklinton, Louisiana.
There will be appetizers and a silent auction starting at 5:30 PM followed by dinner and a live auction. The event guarantees good food and an opportunity to get great Christmas gifts for family, friends, and yourself. ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE.
Tickets for couples are $75 and for singles are $50, available from FHS softball and baseball players and parents or you can text Kim Tynes at (985) 5115-1797.

Sun Resident Killed in Washington Parish Crash
Early this morning (November 22, 2018), shortly after midnight, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on LA 430 at milepost 8.2 that claimed the life of 26 year-old Monique Nunn of Sun, LA.Troopers determined that lost control of her vehicle in a right curve, ran off the road and struck a tree. Nunn was pronounced dead on the scene. Nunn was wearing a seat belt and impairment is unknown, pending a toxicology test. The crash remains under investigation.
