The 15th Annual TPSO Mounted Division Pro Rodeo is being held this weekend (Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26) at the Florida Parishes Arena in Amite. This event supports the agency's reserve, horse-riding volunteer deputies by providing funding for equipment, uniforms and additional resources.
The event will feature all of the usual rodeo competitions including bull riding, calf roping and a rodeo clown. It will also, for the first time, feature a sensory-considerate Special Needs Rodeo on Saturday from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday night, at 5:30 p.m., the new TPSO Rodeo Queen will be crowned.
Tickets are on sale now on tpso.org. They're $12 ahead of the event and $15 at the door. Gates open at 6 each night and the shows start at 7:30 p.m.
