Jerry Robinson, Jr.

July 21, 1990 — September 3, 2026

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all
comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are  transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.     2 Corinthians 4:17-18 

On Thursday September 3, 2026, God sent his beloved angel to receive one of his own to himself. Jerry Robinson Jr. answered his final call in New Orleans, Louisiana entering his final rest surrounded by his beloved family.

Jerry Robinson Jr., age 36, was born on July 21, 1990, to the late Jerry Robinson Sr. and Gayle Jones Robinson. Jerry Jr. was a resident of Angie, Louisiana where he grew up and graduated from Varnado High School, in which he loved and enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. Jerry Jr. lived a life rooted in faith, business, and music. He was a faithful member of Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where his presence and devotion touched many lives. As a talented musician, he passionately played the drums, bringing energy and rhythm to everyone who heard him play. As a natural businessman, Jerry Jr. possessed a unique drive and a rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life. From the community he built while cutting hair as a barber, to the countless miles he traveled spanning the nation as an Over-the-Road (OTR) cross-country truck driver, he left a lasting impression on every road he traveled and every life he touched.

Jerry Jr. enjoyed living a life out in the open and with an adventurous spirit. He found his joy outdoors whether he was riding horses or feeling the freedom of the open road in his freight truck as an independent business owner or on his motorcycle. He brought passion, rhythm, and energy to everything he did.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Gayle Jones Robinson; his only son, Jabari Robinson of Angie Louisiana; two sisters, Delisha (Walter) Washington of Montgomery, AL, and Tywanda Robinson of Angie, LA; two brothers, LeBrandon (Shawn) Robinson of Atlanta, GA, and Shelton (LeTitia) Brumfield of Slidell, LA; two uncles, Danny Lee (Debra) Robinson of Angie, LA, and Wallace Robinson of Kileen, TX; six aunts: Betty (Wilbert “Rick”) Mickens of Angie, LA, Sandra (John Young) Jones of Bogalusa, LA, Doris (James) Witherspoon of Clarksville, TN, Beaulah (Alan) Jackson of New Orleans, LA, Ellen Carter of Bogalusa, LA, and Tracy (Regynold) Robinson of Angie, LA;. and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Jerry Robinson Sr.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 3:00PM – 5:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 1:00PM at Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church  63343 Par Rd 420, Angie, LA 70426. Interment will be held at the Robinson Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
