Kenneth Carroll McCain, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born on June 22, 1943, in Columbia, Mississippi, to Kenneth McCain and Ruth McKenzie McCain. He graduated from Bogalusa High School and worked for Bellsouth for many years before retiring in November 2003.
Kenneth loved to travel and visited many countries, making wonderful memories along the way. He loved nature and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth McCain and Ruth McKenzie McCain.
He is survived by his sister, Naomi (Nick) Vinturella; his brother, Tommy McCain; his nieces, Melissa (Greg) Butler and Gala McCain; his great-nieces, Naomi Ross and Caroline Nickens; and his great-nephew, Tyler Daigle.
A graveside service will be held for family members on Friday, September 25, beginning at 11:00 AM at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook, MS.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
