Emma Jean Manning Casame

July 6, 1944 — September 11, 2026

Emma Jean Manning Casame was born July 6, 1944 in Tylertown Mississippi to the late, Freddie Mae Manning and late, Houston (Jack) Manning, Sr. She departed this life on September 11, 2026 leaving behind a lifetime of great memories with family and friends who loved her dearly.

Emma joined Bethel Church of Christ and Holiness at an early age and later graduated from Washington Parish High School in 1962. She was very independent dedicated worker at a young age. She earned her degree in Medical Billing and Coding administration. Emma left home in the late 1960’s to live in San Francisco, California. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield in California and Baton Rouge, Louisiana for over 10 years. She later moved in 1979 to New Orleans, Louisiana to continue working for Tulane Medical Hospital and EENT Hospital in the same Field for over 15+ years. In the mid 1980’s Emma married August Alex Casame, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana. They lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for over 10+ years and later moved back to Franklinton, Louisiana. She then started in the 1990s into mid 2000s working at Heritage Manor In Franklinton, Louisiana to finish her last working years at Pontchartrain Nursing Home as a CNA and also private Sitting care. She dedicated many years of service to each and every job.

One thing everyone knew about Emma she was a loving kind and giving Person. She would go all out for her family and friends. In her early years, she would enjoy traveling, music, trying different recipes and reading lots of books including her Bible and Sunday School books. She loved flowers, plants and she loved educating herself on important information, good times, shopping, bowling, family events, visiting family and friends most of all spoiling her daughter and granddaughters. Emma had an unforgettable spirit and shared great stories of her childhood to her loved ones, Those memories will live through her family.

Emma leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving daughter, Tiffany Casame; Tiffany’s father, Wallace (Frances) Williams; four beloved granddaughters, Jyliyah Winn, Breanna Blanchard, Myrion Parker and Madison Parke; her sister, Norma Rose; nephews, Lamount Rose and Alaric Manning and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and former coworkers and all whose lives she touched.

Emma was proceeded in death by her father, Houston “Jack” Manning, Sr.; her mother, Freddie Mae Manning; her brothers, Houston F. Manning and William Westen; sister, Kalisha K. Weary Lee.

Although no amount of time with someone we love is ever enough, Emma lived a beautiful and meaningful life. We will cherish the memories she gave us the smile that could light up a room, the sweet sound of her voice as she sang her favorite hymns, the stories she shared, the wisdom she passed along, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.

Her earthly journey has ended, but her love remains.

A visitation will be heled on September 26, 2026 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Bethel Church of Christ and Holiness 2533 Harvey Rd. Franklinton LA 70438 with Evangelist Alvin Partman – officiating.
