On September 24, 2026, a woman came into the TPSO Victims Unit to report having been involved in an altercation earlier that morning with Bergeron at his home in the Robert area. During the investigation, evidence related to at least one prior incident involving the same victim was obtained. Warrants were then issued for Bergeron’s arrest and efforts to locate him began immediately.
This investigation is ongoing and additional investigations are actively underway involving other potential victims.
All inquiries regarding Bergeron’s status with the Hammond Police Department should be directed to that agency.
