Elsie V. Moore Witt
February 13, 1933 — August 23, 2026
Elsie V. Moore Witt, a native of Austin, TX and a longtime resident of Bush, LA. Left this world at 93 years young. She along with her husband operated Witt’s Hardware and Grocery for many years in Bush. After his passing she worked at Mack Grubbs Motors and a few other places over the following years. She enjoyed bowling with her bowling league many years ago and always enjoyed her monthly Pokeno group of ladies. She attended Bush Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harvey G. Witt, her parents Joe B. and Lucille Moore, her father in-law and mother-in-law Hebert and Elsie Wessels Witt, her brother Earl Moore, sister Bobbie Moore, brothers in law Hebert Witt and Bobby Witt. Son-in-law Matt Stanley.
Her family she leaves behind are 2 daughters, Lynn (Bob) McDaniel, Karen Stanley; son David (Georgia) Witt. 5 Grandchildren; Jay (Lorraine)Canatella, Faith (Will) Orsini-Calix, Ryan Canatella, Josh (Jamie) Witt, Bailey Witt; 8 Great-Grandchildren; Chase Canatella, Ellie Canatella, Guilliana D’Luca, Skylar Rutherford, Rylan Witt, Reagan Witt, Michael Witt, and Wyatt Austin; Sisters-in-law Treva Moore, Betty Witt
Ms. Elsie’s wishes were always to not have formal funeral services; therefore, no services will be had.
