Patrick Christopher Dennis

December 25, 1984 - August 11, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Patrick Dennis, who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of those who cared for him. Patrick was a man of faith, and through the difficulty of his journey, his trust remained in God. We are deeply thankful that God allowed Patrick to be part of our lives and part of the Awakening Church family. His life, his faith, and his presence among us have left a lasting mark, and he will be greatly missed.

He was born December 25, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana, son of Catherine and Frank Dennis. He had worked at Winn Dixie as a Grocery Bagger. He was a member of the Awakening Church of St. Joseph. 

Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Frank Irvin Dennis. 

Survivors include his mother, Catherine Dennis of St. Joseph, MO; aunt, Goldie Mae (Jerry) Proffer of Savannah, MO, and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Monday at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at W.W. Breland Cemetery in Pine, Louisiana (corner of Hwy 424 & Hwy 1070) on Friday, August 21, 2026 beginning at 11:00 am. Those attending the graveside service are invited to meet at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home (610 Avenue F, Bogalusa, LA 70427) at 10:00 as we travel to the cemetery together in procession.
