Preston Brent Stuart

February 7, 2025 - July 12, 2026

Preston Brent Stuart was born on February 7th, 2025. From his very first moments he was a blessing and he was a ray of light. Always content and easy going. His smile was an extension of the purity of his heart and the innocence of a child. He smiled with his whole face and it just made your heart overwhelmed with love. He quickly grew into an inquisitive and curious little boy, constantly into anything he wasn’t supposed to be. But the way he would grab your finger to lead you where he wanted to go, or the way he ran to his daddy’s truck when he got home from work would quickly make you forget how he had just emptied every kitchen cabinet. It was rare to find him playing with a toy, but when you did, he was pushing his big green tractor through the living room or out in the yard. He loved his big brother Briggs, they had such a special bond. Wherever Briggs and the rest of the Stuart clan were, he was following behind. Preston had the honor of holding the finger of our Heavenly Father as he was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 12th, 2026. While we miss him and long for him with everything we have, we know given the opportunity he would remain in the arms of Jesus. He is rejoicing in Heaven. Our perfect little boy he will remain forever. We thank God for the blessing that was Preston Brent Stuart. While we can’t see him, he is not gone. He’s just gone ahead.

Preston was preceded in death by his young cousin Natalee Grace DeLee, great-grandparents Barry Stringfield, Josie Hoggatt, Bobby Adams, A.C. Rogers, Betty Thomas, Bevie Stuart Simmons, Lavon Stuart, great-uncle Denny Stringfield and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Thursday July 16th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. David Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Preston’s honor to the Pine First Baptist Church Children’s Playground Fund (27043 Hwy. 62, Franklinton, LA 70438)
