Linda Carolyn Varnado

Linda Carolyn Varnado, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, was born on July 2, 1940, in Watauga, TN and passed away at her residence in Bogalusa, LA on June 30, 2026 at the age of 85.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 68 years Rev. Tommy Varnado; a son Jeffrey (Marcie) Varnado; a sister Wanda Gotee; a brother Bobby Scott; a son-in-law Darrell Fontaine; grandchildren Kyle (Abbi) Fontaine, Victoria Fontaine, Adrian Varnado, Kelsey (John) Hartzog, and Rachel Laciura; and 4 great grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Riley Scott and Pearl Scott; a daughter Cynthia Ruth Fontaine; siblings Dorothy Adkins, Deane Scott, and Ruth Campbell.
Visitation will be held at Lee’s Creek Baptist Church on Friday July 3, 2026, from 11:00a.m. until the service time of 1:00p.m. The Rev. Patrick Magee will officiate the service and entombment will follow in the Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Richard Keller, Raymond Matthews, Scott Seals, Billy Pounds, Bret Forbes, and Ben Nevers.
