Jeremy Taurus Johnson
June 11, 1979 — July 9, 2026
On Thursday, July 9, 2026, Jeremy peacefully departed this earthly life. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jeremy Taurus Johnson was born on June 11, 1979, to the late Eddie Johnson, Jr. and Luella Lee Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Lottie Dee Lee; his paternal grandparents, Eddie Johnson, Sr. and Celestina Maranon Johnson; his beloved aunts, Gloria Lee Richard, Mary D. Lee, and Geraldine Johnson Davis (Godmother); and his uncles, Andrew Johnson and Willie J. Johnson.
A proud graduate of Bogalusa High School, Jeremy continued his education at Southeastern Louisiana University and Northshore Technical Community College before becoming a valued employee of SunPro Solar.
There are some people who make life brighter by simply being themselves. Jeremy was one of those people. Whether he was cheering on the New Orleans Saints, casting a fishing line, firing up the grill, or spending time with his beloved dogs, he had a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. He lived with a generous spirit, an easy dimpled smile, and a sense of humor that could make almost anyone laugh.
Every Johnson Family Day, Jeremy could be found in the middle of the laughter telling stories, showing off his impeccable shoe-and-sock game, and talking good-natured trash over a game of dominoes. Those moments captured who he was: someone who loved his family, enjoyed life to the fullest, and never missed an opportunity to make people smile.
Jeremy leaves to cherish his memory his devoted brothers, Eddie Johnson III and Willie Charles Johnson; his beloved nieces and nephews, Eddie Johnson IV, Roderick Mitchell Johnson, Amaya Luella Johnson, and Jasmine Eddie Johnson; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and coworkers.
Until we meet again, rest peacefully, Jeremy. Your work here is done, your race has been run, and your legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories will live on forever.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 10:00AM - 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa, Louisiana 70427.
