Lorraine Sowell Williams was born on November 30, 1965 to the late Janie Peters and Ernest Sowell in Bogalusa, LA. She departed this life on July 8, 2026 at Our Lady of the Angels in Bogalusa.
She was very outspoken person that loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories the daughters, Natasha (Tyrone) Sowell Robinson, Asha Sowell, and Khamika Sowell; one son, Aaron Sowell; seven grandchildren, Ajaylon Sowell, Kierstan Flot, Ny’Kevia Flot, Kendaven Pigott, KAyden Sowell, Kenjyren Pigott, and Ken’Maree Pigott; seven sisters, Chiquetta Pittman, Laveta Sowell, Oralisa (Donnie Ray) Baldwin, Janice Sowell, Cassandra Sowell, Wilda SPikes, Tokingea (Jeremy) Hall; one brother, Kendrick Peters; one Godson, Haikem Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her long time partner, Willie James Thompson; her parents, Janie Peters, and Ernest Sowell; her grandmother, Ora Lee Johnson; and her grandfather, James Foster.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM followed by the funeral service at 12:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa, Louisiana 70427.
