Robert D. "Robby" Brown

July 24, 1965 - July 20, 2026

Robert D. "Robby" Brown of Poplarville, Mississippi departed this life into God's presence on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 60. Robby was born in Monroe, Louisiana on July 24, 1965 to Roger and Judith Brown.

A loving and hardworking man, Robby took great pride in his career as a road foreman at Barber Brothers Contracting Company, where he worked on numerous construction projects to continuously update Louisiana's roads. When he wasn't hard at work, he enjoyed the outdoors, spending much of his time breeding and raising chickens, and relaxing to the sweet sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Robby was a devoted husband, father, and a dear friend to many; he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Judith Brown, and one sister, Salina Brown MaGee. Left to forever cherish Robby's memory is his loving wife, Theresa Brown; one son, Robert Doyle Brown, II. (Kristy); two daughters, Nevaeh Brown (Mason Dufour) and Olivia Brown; three step-daughters, Monica Stewart (P.J.), Haley West, and Amanda Harris; and four grandchildren, Kinsley Brown, Ethan Stewart, Laigan Harris, and Braylyn West.

Funeral Services, officiated by Brother Billy Kent Smith, will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Brown McGehee Funeral Home, 610 Avenue F, Bogalusa, Louisiana, beginning at 2:00 pm. Friends and guests are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Burial will immediately follow in New Hope Cemetery, with Mason Dufour, Laigan Harris, Kenneth Phillips, Shane Bamburg, Martin Casey Wheat and Buddy Brown serving as pallbearers.
