Henry "Hank" George LaDouceur, Jr.
January 31, 1934 - July 12, 2026
Henry George LaDouceur, Jr., age 92, returned to his heavenly father on July 12, 2026. Hank was born on January 31, 1934 in Franklinton, Louisiana. The family of five relocated to Oxford, Michigan in 1940 after their home was totally destroyed by a cyclone.
Hank graduated from Oxford High School in 1952. During his high school years, he served as student council president and class president while earning eight varsity letters in football, baseball, basketball, and track. He attended Michigan state, receiving a scholastic scholarship.
Hank served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a life member of the Marine Corps League, Kentuckiana Detachment #729, where he honored his fallen veterans by serving on the visitation and rifle honors details. He was past president of the Transportation Club of Louisville, an honorary Kentucky Colonel, and former member of Lake Forest C.C., and Midland Trail G.C. where he greatly enjoyed playing golf.
Hank retired on his 71st birthday as Executive Vice President of Armstrong Relocation/United Van Lines after 41 years in the relocation industry.
He was preceded by his parents; sister, Kay Jean, and brother, Edward. Left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Frieda; daughter, Lisa (Jim) Borgmann of Louisville; three grandchildren: Drew, Sarah, and Jessica; one great-grandson, Kane Wooten, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Epiphany Catholic Church (914 Old Harrods Creek Road) with burial in Middletown Historic Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will take place from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) and an hour of visiting before Mass on Friday at church.
