Lynda Sue Stafford Galloway
March 18, 1943 - July 1, 2026
Lynda Sue Stafford Galloway, age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in LaPlace, LA. Born in Bogalusa, LA, Lynda lived a life full of adventure, creativity, and determination. A talented entrepreneur, she was a successful businesswoman, writer, quilter, trailer park owner, and avid collector who embraced every opportunity with passion.
She shared 63 wonderful years of marriage and survived by her beloved husband, Elzie B. Galloway, Jr. (“J.R.”); her daughters, Tina Edler (Ched) and Susan Galloway; her grandchildren, C.J. Edler (Kayln), Shane Edler (Haylee), Dane Edler, Sheridan Gilchrist (Douglas Sr.), and Jeremy Baughman (Hilary); her great-grandchildren, Easton Edler, Emmie Edler, and Douglas Gilchrist Jr.; her brother, John Caron; many wonderful Sister Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elford “Jack” Stafford and Lucy Evelyn Knight Lincoln.
In accordance with her wishes, Lynda was cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in many special places throughout her life.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held for family and friends to honor her memory and share stories of a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Lynda by taking a trip, creating something beautiful, or simply spending time with those you love.
Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in Laplace, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
