Mark Paul Stewart, Sr.
July 17, 1951 - June 7, 2026
Mark Paul Stewart Sr., born in Bogalusa, La on July 17th, 1951, passed away surrounded by his family at Fair City Rehab Living Center in Franklinton, La on June 7th, 2026. He was 74 years old. Mark was the proud owner and operator of Stewart’s A/C and Appliance Repair of Bogalusa for many years.
A skilled craftsman, he was known for his ability to build and repair just about anything. Beyond his work, Mark had a deep passion for music, playing his guitar and listening to classic rock music of the 70’s.
He was an avid bible scholar who loved debating the bible with fellow enthusiasts. Mark is survived by his wife Louise Rester Stewart, son Mark Paul Stewart ll (Shellie), daughters Nicole King (Lawson), Angie Penton (John), stepdaughters Shana Thomas, Katrina Perrin (Tony), grandchildren LeAnna, Landon, Mason, Jase Stewart, Kaitlyn Ussery, Kamryn Giardina, Kennedy, Kimber, and Keagan King, Tucker Penton, Alex Hughes, Nathan Anderson, 3 great grandchildren Myles and Mack Ussery, and Karter Edwards, one brother Jimmy Stewart (Marilyn) of Mt Pleasant, SC , nephew Seth Stewart, one sister Gail Stewart of Des Allemandes La.
He is preceded in death by his parents James V. Stewart and Geniela Lumpkin Stewart, and 2 of his dearest nephews, Blain and Patrick Stewart.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, Bogalusa, LA on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev, David Wilson and Rev. Russell Adams officiating service with interment to follow in the Rester Cemetery in the Oak Grove Community.
Acting Pallbearers are Nick Mizell, Nathan Anderson, Josh McKeithen, Rick Davis, John Penton, and David Rester.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. service time.
