Belynda Kent Ritchie

Belynda K. Ritchie was born in New Orleans, LA on July 8, 1958, she passed away in Covington, LA on June 27, 2026, at the age of 67.
Belynda is survived by her grandchildren Breana and Alexa Ritchie; great grandchildren Prince, Amina and Zaire Ritchie; brother Brenton (Francis) Kent; sister Kim (Glenn) Yarbrough; her care taker Craig Ritchie; numerous nieces and nephews and many others that all called her Nana.
Belynda was preceded in death by her husband Sydney Ritchie Sr.; son Sydney Ritchie Jr.; grandson Brett W. Ritchie; parents Rueben Kent Jr. and Betty Boone Neal; brothers Daniel Kent, and Terrance Kent; sisters Rebecca Kent, and Pam Kent.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 9:00a.m. until the service time of 2:00p.m. Rev. Chris Varnado will officiate and interment will follow at Pounds Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be B.J. Kent, Cliffton Ritchie, Cliffton Ritchie Jr., Cody Dupont, Donovan Touchet, Kalon Lee. Dustin Lee will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
