Martha Ann Fairburn

March 25, 1952 — May 27, 2026

Martha Ann Fairburn was born on March 25, 1952, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana. Martha was a woman who cherished simple joys and the love of her family.

Martha loved her church and found peace in camping, spending time surrounded by nature. She had a passion for tending to her flowers, which she cared for with great affection. Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren, who brightened her days. She also held a special place in her heart for her dog, Penny, who was a loving companion.

She was the beloved mother of James Newton Fairburn (Candice Loup),  Elizabeth Ann Manton (Christopher Paul), Jeffery Leo Fairburn, and Lucy Knox (William R.). Martha’s legacy continued through her grandchildren Alice, Matthew, Jessica, Joshua, and Amber, as well as her great-grandchildren Harper, Jett, Maeve, Blaire, and Sebastian. Each of them brought happiness to her life.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Robert David Fairburn. She also mourned the loss of her parents, Shelton James Rogers and Louise Elizabeth Ward, and her sister, Marie Sharp, as well as her brother-in-law, Sherman Sharp.

A visitation will take place on June 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Northshore Worship Center located at 1041 Ronald Reagan Hwy, Covington, Louisiana. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Friends and Family are invited to follow in procession to the Willie & Lee Cemetery, on Willie Cemetery road in Folsom, Louisiana, for interment.

Martha Ann Fairburn will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and a kind soul who found joy in simple pleasures. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
