Samuel Keith Griffin

October 2, 1962 — June 13, 2026

Samuel Keith Griffin, affectionately known as “Sam,” departed this earthly life on June 13, 2026, at the age of 63.

Samuel was born on October 12, 1962, to Cornelius Griffin and Evelyn Griffin in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He received his education through the Bogalusa City School System and was well known throughout his community for his warm smile, generous spirit, and caring heart.

Keith found peace and fulfillment in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed sports, hunting, and fishing, and cherished every opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

Keith was raised in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and later became a faithful member of Christian Faith Church in New Orleans, Louisiana, under the leadership of Reverend Gregory Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Cornelius Griffin; his grandparents, Marvin and Martha Mathews, and Ruth Griffin; his sons, Samuel Keith Johnson and Brandon Forbes; his brother, Aaron Griffin II; and his aunt, Marilyn Holmes.

Keith leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother, Evelyn Griffin; his daughter, Rosa Victor; his son, Kendall Berry; his sisters, Shemeka G. Adams and Adrian Jackson; his cherished grandchildren, Kendall Berry Jr., Aiyana Berry, Jody Sartin, Brandon Short, Jeremiah Cooley, Ashantiara Lucas, Cameron Mark, and T'Neiyah Lewis; and a host of relatives and friends.

Although he is no longer physically present among us, his legacy of love, generosity, strength, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those blessed to have shared in his life.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM followed by funeral service at 11:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Bogalusa, LA 70427. Interment - Bogalusa Cemetery.
