The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) needs the public’s help identifying and locating several suspects accused of stealing thousands of dollars from several area discount stores in the past week.
Two clearer images accompanied the press release and are shown at right.
The first instance was reported on April 30th at the Dollar General store in the 42000 block of Happywoods Road in Hammond. The store manager reported two black men and a black female came in around 7 p.m. and stole more than $1,100 in laundry detergent. The trio left in a red, 4-door sedan with a decorative front license plate that had pink writing. The same group is believed to have stolen similar items from the same location on May 4th.
The next instance was officially documented on May 3, occurring at the Dollar General on Pumpkin Center Road. In that case, a lone, black female is seen stealing a large amount of cleaning supplies before leaving in an older model gray Nissan sedan that has a rusted hood. She is also believed to be the suspect in several previous thefts at this store.
Sheriff Gerald Sticker encourages anyone with information about who these suspects are, or their whereabouts, to contact Det. Earl McFarland at 985-514-8181 or 985-351-8942.
