Andre Charles Gandolfi

November 18, 1949 - May 3, 2026

Andre Charles Gandolfi, age 76 and of Irvington, Alabama, entered his eternal peace on Sunday, May 3,2026, in his home with loved ones by his side. A celebration of his life service will take place at GulfCoast Cremation & Funerals on Friday, June 19th, 2026, from 12pm to 1pm CDT. His favorite saying, “Goodbye is forever so I will say later” came from his grandmother, Ms. Crettie O’Brien Ryals, of Bogalusa, and whom he has chosen to be beside as his final resting place in the family McNeese Cemetery on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2pm CDT in Franklinton, Louisiana.

Born at Camp LeJeune USMC base in Jacksonville NC, Andre graduated from Bogalusa High School Class of '67 then quickly excelled in both sales and dedicated team management. He also spent many decades working in the Gulf eventually becoming a great Crew Boat Captain. Captain “Dru” retired from Barry Graham Oil Service in 2018 after 12 years of service to spend more time with his beloved family. Andre loved restoring cars, going to the beach especially in South Florida where his daughter lives and the Bahamas. He was also an avid animal lover and proclaimed cat whisperer.

Andre was preceded in death by two of his sons Michael Anthony Gandolfi, Christopher Aaron Gandolfi, his two infant grandsons Jeremy Andrew Flak and Austen Caleb Gandolfi, Jr., his father Frank Charles Gandolfi, Jr. (Mary), his mother Margarette Jane Ryals Scott (Albert Daniel), his sisters Marilyn Gandolfi and Lorna “Diane” Scott, his brother Daniel Wayne Scott, Sr., his nephew Jesse Tyler Scott, his maternal grandparents Rankin Eugene Ryals and Crettie O’Brien and paternal grandparents Frank Charles Gandolfi, Sr. and Eulalie Jacob.

He is survived by his partner Annie “Missy” Sprinkle, his daughters Jeana “Michelle” Flak (John) and Sasha Gandolfi, his sons Austen Gandolfi (DesiRae), Chase Gandolfi, and Erik Parker (Cassie), stepdaughters Nichole Garcia (Steven), Mary Jeffirs (Joshua), Whitney Middleton and Annie Higdon (Mitchell), 14 grandchildren Gwendolyn, Christopher, Brhett, Avicyne, Autymn, Hazel, Canaan, Luke, Kaylee, Madisynn, Landyn, AvaReese, Easton and Baylor, his sister Sherrill Bergeron, his brother Dr. Mark Gandolfi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

Andre lived a very blessed full life. He will always be remembered as the loving, funny one with the lampshade on while smiling the biggest grin. The only thing bigger than his smile was his heart. He never knew a stranger, was always kind, loving, charming and had an enormous adventurous spirit who will surely be missed by all, especially Missy, his children and grandchildren!

We are forever grateful for the amazing, compassionate, care SAAD Hospice of Mobile, Alabama provided to our entire family over these past two months. Friends and family are invited to share in remembering Andre’s life legacy on Friday, June 19th, 2026, from 12pm to 1pm CDT.
