Obituary

Dillon Jenkins

April 14, 1992 - April 27, 2026

Dillon Jenkins lived his 34 years with a spark that could not be contained. On April 27th, 2026, that vibrant spirit left this world, but the joy, laughter, and energy he shared continue to shine in the lives he touched.

Born on April 14th at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana, Dillon grew up surrounded by people who adored him—and for good reason. He had a larger-than-life personality, a quick wit, and a passion for the things he loved, from Batman and wrestling to a good, spirited debate. Wherever Dillon went, he brought excitement, humor, and a sense that something memorable was about to happen.

To know Dillon—affectionately known as “Dill Pickle”—was to feel seen and appreciated. He had a rare gift for lifting others up, making them laugh, and reminding them they mattered. His curiosity, compassion, and unmistakable presence left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

He leaves behind a circle of love that continues to grow in his honor: his girlfriend, Katherine Barber; his stepdaughter, Baby; his devoted parents, Dana and Hilliard Jenkins; his sister, Megan Franklin; his uncle, Chad Robertson; his aunts, Deidra (Bruce) Sheridan, Theresa (Keith) Neal, and Gayle Jenkins; along with many extended family members and dear friends. He now joins in rest those who went before him—his brother-in-law Wesley Franklin; grandparents Capt. Don and Carolyn Robertson, Rev. Dewitt and Gleta Jenkins; Aunt Cathy Gerald; and cousin Austin Jenkins.

Dillon’s life will be celebrated on May 9th, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 3:30 PM at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana, followed by a graveside service at 4:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life that was truly unforgettable.

Though his time here was brief, Dillon made it count in every possible way. His laughter echoes, his love endures, and his legacy lives on in every story told, every smile shared, and every heart he touched.
