Patricia Ann Hartzog Maples

March 27, 1957 - May 7, 2026

Patricia Ann Hartzog Maples, age 69 and a resident of Angie, LA, was born in Tylertown, MS on March 27, 1957 and passed away on May 7, 2026, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Patricia is survived by her husband James Maples; children Heather (Chris) Hall, Sarah (B.K.) Hughes, and Aaron (Gillian) Maples; grandchildren Ashtin Hall, Aubrie Melancon, Bryce Hall, Kavin Hall, Sutton Melancon, Beckham Melancon, Ian Hughes, Emi Hughes, and Weslyn Maples; siblings Sylvia (Bobby) Bell, and Jerry (Stacy) Hartzog; sister-in-law Sally (Danny) Champagne; brother-in-law Delton Maples; a very special, lifelong friend, Gita Baughman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

One of Patricia’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren; they were the love of her life. She never missed a dance recital, a ball game, or a school program. She was the best Honey there ever was. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents James and Ethylene Hartzog; siblings John Hartzog Sr., Elvis Hartzog, Berford Hartzog, Gilbert Hartzog Sr., and Roy Hartzog; mother-in-law and father-in-law Delton and Anita Maples.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10:00a.m. until the service time of 2:00p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Bryant Barnes and Rev. Larry Mizell will officiate and interment will be held in Bonnie cemetery in Angie, La.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for blood donations in her name.
