Francis L. Mathenia

October 4, 1944 ~ May 4, 2026

Francis L. Mathenia was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, the daughter of Virgil H. Belisle and Willie B. Hall (Belisle). 

Fran was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brothers Steven and Bruce Belisle, and her husband Harold D. Mathenia. 

She is survived by her brother Paul Belisle; her four children Dena Logg, Lisa Gariano, David Mathenia and Danielle Bailey, and their families.

She was married to the love of her life, Harold, for 66 years. They settled in Moses Lake, where they raised their children together. 

Fran was a hairdresser for a majority of her career. Fran was also very involved in the community, from the jeep club, 4-H group formed by them and the Eagles lodge, as active members.

They loved to travel with family and friends. She had many lifelong friends she considered family. They spent holidays weekends and summers together gossiping and making memories over coffee.

Fran documented their trips by taking pictures and scrapbooking. She loved arts and crafts such as crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, sewing clothes, and making handmade holiday cards.

Fran passed away peacefully surrounded by family who loved her. 

We will miss you. Rest in peace. 

Services for Fran will be held in June. Pioneer Memorial Services in Moses Lake, WA is in charge of arrangements.
