Sharmon Jane Burke Kennedy, age 73, was born in Bogalusa, LA on August 7, 1952 and passed away on May 27, 2026, in Poplarville, MS.
Sharmon is survived by her children Kim Kennedy Spurlock and Derrick Kennedy (Samantha Bates); her mother Mary Elizabeth Melton Lee; her grandchildren Bladen Spurlock, Hailie Spurlock and Grason Spurlock; siblings Pam Cotton and Charles (Kathy) Burke.
Sharmon was preceded in death by her husband Kendal Kennedy; her father Fred Burke; siblings Debra Ann Guidroz, Richard Lee and Kenny Lee; and a son-in-law Michael Spurlock.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2:00p.m. at Seal Cemetery in the Stateline community on Henry Kennedy Rd. The Rev. Don Meyers will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bogalusa Church of Christ.
