Cody Burns Riley
June 21, 1995 - May 18, 2026
Cody Burns Riley, age 30 and a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Monday afternoon May 18, 2026 at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital. He was born in Covington, Louisiana on June 21, 1995, weighing one pound eleven ounces. The doctor said he wouldn’t make it through the night, but Cody defied the doctors. With the grace of God and the love and care of his parents, Allen and Jackie Riley, aunt and uncle Kacey and Kevin Singley and his grandmother, the late Linda Burns Barber, Cody was blessed to live 30 years and 11 months. He had a great sense of humor, always telling corny “Dad” jokes and picking with his family and friends. Cody enjoyed playing Call of Duty and other games on his X-box and he liked riding along on the 4-wheeler. He enjoyed listening to his favorite country music, especially Alan Jackson and Johnny Cash. Cody always liked to meet new people and after he had, even for just the first time, always remembered their names and the conversations he had. He will be forever missed by his family and loved ones.
