Betty Lou Walker Holliday
November 18, 1944 - May 21, 2026
Betty Lou Walker Holliday, age 81 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Thursday morning May 21, 2026 at her home. She worked for a time in the bakery of Albertson’s Grocery and most recently provided home care and support to the elderly and people in need. Betty enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, Murder She Wrote and Gunsmoke, and she liked to play games on her phone. She always loved visiting with her family and friends and cherished all the time spent with her family.
Survived by: 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Timothy and Shannon Holliday, Jody and Amanda Holliday, David Riley and Patricia Tippett; Daughter: Tina Thurman; Grandchildren: Deserea Holliday, Heaven Holliday, Dillynn Holliday, Lacie Holliday, Ryan Holliday, Blaine Holliday, Jacob Holliday, Isaiah Holliday, Damien Cornett, Autumn Cornett, Skylar Riley, Samantha Riley, Heather Stanford, Kirsten Ruppert; Brother: Wayne Walker; Also numerous beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Daniel Holliday, parents Vernon Ray Walker and Ora Johnson Walker, twin sister Bonnie Sue Bennett, sister Marie Dykes, son in law Steven Thurman, grandson Timothy Holliday, II, granddaughter Erin Gatlin and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery (55179 Hwy. 60, Bogalusa, LA) at 11:00 am Monday May 25th with Rev. Scott Breland officiating.
