Natahsa Mae Thomas

August 11, 1983 - April 25, 2026

Natasha Mae Thomas was born to the late Joy Lemay Chavers Thomas and Donnie Chavers on August 11, 1983 at Lallie Kemp Hospital in Independence, LA. Natasha departed this life on Saturday April 25, 2026 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.

Natasha was a loving and sweet young lady. She loved playing on her tablet and listening to music. Her favorite songs were Amazing Grace and Tennessee Whiskey. Natasha enjoyed going out in the community and eating her favorite fish sandwich or hamburger with a Coca-Cola. She was known for her kindness, feisty attitude, love for her staff and forgiving spirit. She especially cherished time with her sister, Rebecca and her aunt Ola, along with her staff.

Natasha is survived by her sister Rebecca Moneyhun; step-aunt Ola Thomas; her nephew Cody Moneyhun; her niece Julia Moneyhun; her great-niece Joleigh Longmire; great-nephew Caiden Moneyhun; special cousin David Atkinson; bonus siblings Robbie McIntyre, Shane Miley, Justin Miley, George McIntyre and a host of relatives, friends and family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joy Thomas and Donnie Chavers, stepfather Glyn Thomas and a step-grandmother Ester Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) on Thursday May 7th from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.

To all who cared for and took care of Natasha and who played a part in her life, she loved each and every one of you. Her final message to each of you was that she loved you.
