Alyne Dillon Spikes
June 8, 1947 — April 17, 2026
God looked around his garden, and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
Alyne Dillon Spikes died April 17, 2026 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home surrounded by her loving and caring family. Alyne was born to the late Viola Brumfield and Robert Dillon, Sr. on June 8, 1947. She was a great mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Alyne enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved entertaining family and friends, She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She opened her door to many and treated them like her own. Later in life, she married Willie J. Spikes.
Alyne leaves to mourn her death, three daughters, Mildred (Lonnie), Amanda (Daria), and Daphne (Kenderick), two sons, Anthony (Paula) and Larry (Willina), all of Franklinton, LA; eight grandchildren, Romaniski, Tyson, Tishiana, Kenya, Azende, Kalarian, Kaniya, and Jaikaya, three great-grandchildren, Azuri, Khaizae, and Elani, an adopted grandson, Joseph Lewis, a special great nephew, Caleb Garrett, two nephews that she took in, Cory (Angela) and LaShay (Niecy) two sisters, Alice Dillon, and Martha Dillon and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Alyne was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Spikes, her parents, Viola Brumfield and Robert Dillon, her grandson, Lonnie Magee, Jr., three sisters, Catherine Brumfield, Debra Dillon, and Hynither Dyson and her brother, Robert Dillon, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM followed by funeral service at 1:00PM at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Norwerts Hill, Jr. – Pastor, Rev. Terrence August – Officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
