The Covington Police Department's year-to-date recap reflects significant progress in addressing crimes involving juveniles, illegal narcotics, and firearm-related offenses.
So far this year, the Covington Police Department has made:
- 12 arrests for indecent behavior involving juveniles
- 11 arrests for computer-aided solicitation of a minor
- 6 arrests for attempted production/possession of pornography involving juveniles
- 7 arrests for indecent behavior involving juveniles/child grooming
- 40 arrests resulting from narcotics investigations
- 6 arrests on firearm-related charges
In addition, officers have recovered 2 firearms and seized substantial quantities of illegal narcotics, including 394 grams of cocaine, more than 35 grams of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, more than 300 grams of marijuana and THC products, benzodiazepines, and other narcotics.
These enforcement efforts reflect the department’s continued focus on protecting children, removing dangerous drugs and weapons from our community, and holding offenders accountable.
