Juanita Woodard Boone

June 3, 1950 - March 11, 2026

Juanita Woodard Boone, age 75 and of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on March 11, 2026 at her daughter’s home with her family by her side. Born on June 3, 1950, she was the 11th child of Fred and Minnie Woodard.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her youngest son, Joey Boone and her husband of 56 years, James Boone. 

Known to her family as “Nana”, she is survived by her son, Jeff Boone; and a daughter, Hannah Davis; and her husband, David Davis; four grandchildren, Damianna Sharp and her husband Karson Sharp; Kaleigh Boone, Nathan Davis; and Kinslee Boone; one great-grandson, Maverick Phelps; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Sharp.

Juanita was a personal caregiver to many people and their families over the years. She considered each one friends and family.

She enjoyed traveling and took may bus tours and trips with her friends. She also many wonderful memories with her best friend of 60 years, Jo Ellen Clark, as they enjoyed exploring the west coast.

Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family, and she enjoyed watching her babies grow.

A sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Enhabit Hospice.

At her request, a private service will be held by her family.
