Obituary

Alberta R. Dillon

July 23, 1952 - February 24, 2026

"Must I be carried to the skies on flow'ry beds of ease; while others fought to want the prize, and sailed thro' bloody seas?"

Our beloved sister, Alberta Dillon faced her battles and carried her cross, and on February 24, 2026, our cherished loved one answered the Master's call and entered eternal rest.

Sis. Alberta was born on July 23, 1952, in Tylertown, Ms. to Mr. Albert and Mrs. Mary Robertson. At an early age, she attended Lee's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and later began to serve and worship at Mt. Zion Church of Christ Holiness, USA. Not just a member, Sis. Alberta was a firm believer in Christ, and she faithfully served as an usher, choir member, UCWM member, and Sunday school treasurer.

At the young age of 16 years, Sis. Alberta decided to leave her home and travel to Seattle where she completed Job Corp Training. She returned home and married the love of her life, Micheal, where they lived and raised their children together. She worked several years at Rutter Rex Garment Plant where she made lifelong connections that she shared until her death. After Rutter Rex, Sis. Alberta worked at Capital Home Health as a home health aide until a car accident left her unable to work. A pillar of strength, love, and unwavering faith, Sis. Alberta was known for her kindness and generosity, her thoughtfulness, and her no- nonsense wisdom that would make you laugh and cry. Sis Alberta was not shy, and always had a "keeping it real" attitude. If you didn't want the truth, don't ask Sis. Alberta! While Sis. Alberta was no fan of cooking, she was known for her greens and chocolate cake at the family gatherings. At any given time, you could find Sis. Alberta doing her favorite things; reading her Bible, ironing clothes, or making sure her girls' hair was always braided and looking good! Sis. Alberta touched many lives throughout the Franklinton/Hackley/ community. Her legacy will forever be remembered and cherished.

Sis. Alberta leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband of 51 years, Mr. Micheal Dillon; two daughters, Katrina Johnson and Amanda Dillon; four grandchildren, Anthony (Kelsey) Davis, Devin (Dereka) Johnson, Annika Johnson, and Alaila Dillon; two bonus granddaughters, Ariyah Ana'alii Evo and Aubrey Alberta Robertson, and one great grandchild, Baby Johnson.

She also leaves six sisters, Catherine Dillon, Patty Cotton, Janice Brumfield, Amelia (Wayne) Cyprian, Arleatha (Lynn) Lee, and Elma (Angelo) Cokley; three brothers; Albert Leon (Michelle) Robertson, Alton (Bobbie) Guy, and Ray Charles Guy, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and dear friends.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that Sis. Alberta is now resting in the arms of the Lord. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

Services will be at Mt. Zion COCH USA in Franklinton, Louisiana. Visitation will be on February 28, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be on March 1, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
