Ronald Duncan
February 7, 1957 - February 17, 2026
Ronald Duncan, age 69 and a lifetime resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Tuesday evening February 17, 2026 at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, Louisiana while visiting at his sister’s home. He was born in Franklinton on February 7, 1957 and graduated from Mount Hermon High School. Ronald was a crew boat captain in the off-shore industry for 25 years before retiring. He then owned and operated his own business, Duncan’s Cleaning and Flooring, working at many homes and businesses in Washington Parish, the Northshore and around south Louisiana. He loved fishing, gardening and landscaping for beautiful flowers. Ronald enjoyed riding his Trike motorcycle and raising his chickens. He always enjoyed spending time with kids and playing alongside them. Ronald never met a stranger but most of all he liked to help others, always putting their needs above his own. He loved spending time with his family and he had a special place in his heart for his pet dog “Buddy”.
Survived by: Brother and a Sister in law: Arnold “Buck” and Glenda Duncan of Acadia, MO; 3 Sisters and a Brother in law: Carolyn Kincaid, Jackie Shroeder both of Kentucky, Barbara and Virgil Ezernack of Zwolle, LA; Special Niece and Nephew: Kellie and Andy Cedars, and their children Grant and BrenleySpecial Cousin: Delton Graves of Metairie, LA; Also numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents Elwood E. Duncan and Joanna Graves Duncan, brothers Glen Duncan, Matthew Duncan, maternal grandparents Daisy Moak, Delton Graves, paternal grandparents Loni and Elmer Duncan and a special friend and second mother Susan Malone.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday February 21st from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Calvin Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Maples/Duncan Cemetery.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Furkan Akhtar and his staff at Natchitoches Cancer Center, Lagniappe Home Health and North Sabine Paramedics for the loving support given to Ronald.
