Christopher Randall Higinbotham, a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on March 21, 1977, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, Christopher resided in Slidell, Louisiana.
Christopher leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his son, Joseph Tate-Higinbotham; his mother, Karen Adams-Wilcox; his siblings, Beaux Hover, Marcus Hover, Anthony Wilcox, Matthew Wilcox, Nathaniel Wilcox, and Annastasia Wilcox; his son’s mother, Candi Tate; and a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Higinbotham, and his sister, Marcie Brie Hover.
Christopher's professional life was marked by his dedication and hard work at Genesis Marine, where he was not only a valued employee but also a friend to many. His colleagues will remember him for his reliability, sense of humor, and the camaraderie he fostered.
Christopher was an avid gamer, a hobby that allowed him to connect with friends and explore new worlds from the comfort of his home. His beautiful voice was another of his remarkable talents, and he could sing any genre with ease, often leaving listeners in awe.
Above all, Christopher was a man of deep faith. He loved and trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and this faith was the guiding light of his life. His unwavering beliefs provided him with strength and comfort, and he was a true testament to living a life anchored in love and devotion.
Christopher's absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will be cherished forever. He was a true friend to many, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception concluding at 3:00 p.m.
