Richard Wayne Beal
September 4, 1951 - January 2, 2026
Richard Wayne Beal, age 74, was born in Monroe, LA on September 4, 1951, passed away in Covington, LA on January 2, 2026. Richard worked 47 years in the oil field with ODECO and Diamond, he was an International Operations Manager - shore based. He loved reading everything he could, watching Jeopardy, he could fix anything “a real MacGyver”, enjoyed riding his Harleys, fishing and staying at his camp on the Pearl River.
Mr. Beal is survived by the love of his life Melba Nassauer Beal; daughter Jenny Beal (Phillip) Collette; nephew Wendall (Dawna) Marvel; niece Christine Nassauer (Kevin) McCarey; great nephews Aiden, Corbin, Kevin, and Nolan; two very special friends Steve and Robin Provost; also, his pets Hershey and Ajax.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Gay Richard Beal and Lois Jeannette; siblings Dorothy Jean Beal Fleming, Gay Percival Beal, Lois Faynette “Faye” Beal Oalman, John Robert Beal and Joseph James Beal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Annunciation Catholic Church, from 9:00am until Mass at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum in Ponemah Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Nassauer, Roy Adcox, Jim Howard, Bruce Brumfield, Bert Dykes and David Price and honorary pallbearer Steve Provost.
