Evon "Honey Bun" Youngblood
August 12, 1952 - January 1, 2026
Brother Evon “Honey Bun” Youngblood was born on August 12, 1952 to the late Clyde and Pearlie Mae Youngblood. He departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Jesus allowed one of His Angels to come down and tell Evon you’ve fought a good fight “My faithful servant”. Come on home and rest.
Brother Evon joined Mt. Olive MBC at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. C.B. Bias in Tylertown, Mississippi. He later visited various churches in the community.
Brother Evon was employed as a logger for years. He also worked as a landscaper and an all around handyman.
Brother Evon leaves to cherish four sisters, Doris Dillon and Mae Von Dexter of Angie, LA, Jerrie Youngblood and Ola Mae Youngblood of Bogalusa, LA; two brothers, Alicee Youngblood and Ray Charles Youngblood both of Angie, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Pearlie Mae Youngblood; four brothers, Clyde Youngblood, Jr., Lorence Youngblood, Otis Youngblood, and Jerry Youngblood; two sisters, Pearlie Jean Lewis and Earnestine Green; two brothers-in-law, William Dillon, Sr. and Charles Lewis, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 3:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Javonte Jimcoil - Officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
