Dana Nicole Stillwell-Smith
November 16, 1976 - January 20, 2026
Dana Nicole Stillwell-Smith, age 49, passed away January 20, 2026 at West Jefferson Hospital. Dana was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, where she spent her time doing what she loved the most, loving her grandchildren. She made the most of life with her love for karaoke, listening to music, and enjoying a good country road ride. Dana’s love for music and karaoke was a language, a comfort, and a way of connecting with people she loved. Friends and family will always remember the sound of her voice, riding around just to feel the world moving and getting lost in her favorite songs. Dana lived a life rooted in love-love for her family, who were the center of her world, and the love for her animals.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband: Frankey Smith, who loved her with devotion; three children: Kala Duncan (Alicia Sanchez), Layken Duncan, and Gage Duncan (Alyssa); two bonus children: Nathan Smith and Devin Smith; three grandchildren: Kaidialine Duncan, Caroline Duncan, and Claire Miley; bonus grandchildren: Miranda Smith, Adalynn Smith, and Haylynn Smith; one sister and her husband: Kellie and Glynn Hebert; a brother-in-law and his wife: Roy and Marilyn Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Dana was preceded in death by her parents: Herman “Bob” and Elizabeth Stillwell; maternal grandparents: Hezzie and Annie McNeese; and her paternal grandparents: Herman and Ardula Stillwell.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home proudly serves the Stillwell-Smith family. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, a memorial visitation will start in the funeral home chapel at 3PM until time of memorial service at 6PM. Bro. Jimmy Byrd will officiate service.
