Tisha Nicole Thomassen

February 2, 1978 - December 20, 2025

Tisha Nicole Thomassen, age 47, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Tisha is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 26 years, Scott Thomassen; and their three precious children, Kaley Kyle, Austin Thomassen, and Lainey Thomassen. She is also survived by her sisters, Melissa (Aaron) Hines and Selena Carrier; and her nieces and nephews, Ryan (Lauren) Stumpf, the late Bree Sison, Matthew (Beth) Mizell, and Toby Mizell.

She is further survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jason (Chanda) Thomassen, and their children, Jordy and Sydney; brother-in-law Lane Thomassen, as well as her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry (Sherri) Miller.

Tisha leaves behind her devoted best friend, Sandi Sumrall Knight, along with her special friends Bridget DeLeon, Shelly Polk, and Sissy Edwards, each of whom held a dear and lasting place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Delores Carrier; her father, Rodney Ellis Carrier; her maternal grandparents, Lawson and Ina Mae Davis; and her paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Myrtis Carrier.

Tisha found great joy in camping, entertaining, trips to Disney World, and traveling to the mountains. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family and friends. She will be remembered for her servant’s heart, always willing to help anyone in need, and for being the kind of friend everyone was honored to have.

Tisha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family and friends find peace in knowing she lived life to the fullest and has been completely healed through Jesus Christ.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Spring Hill-Magee Cemetery on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend William Edwards officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Stumpf, Matt Mizell, Jason Thomassen, Lane Thomassen, Robert Polk, and Payton Knight.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The UP21 Foundation, supporting inclusion, education, and empowerment for individuals with Down syndrome, at the link (www.up21foundation.org)

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crain Funeral Home.
