Dorothy Rae Baham
May 16, 1950 - December 19, 2025
Dorothy Rae Baham, age 75 and a longtime resident of Loranger, passed away Friday December 19, 2025 at her home. She was born on May 16, 1950 and was raised near Franklinton. She worked as a secretary in the Tangipahoa Clerk of Court office for many years and also served in different attorney’s offices through the years. Dorothy enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, often tending to her flower beds. She always loved fishing and drinking her Coca-Cola or coffee while swinging on the porch. Earlier in life, Dorothy enjoyed going with family to the dirt track races around the area. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by: Children: Rhonda Polezcek, Kristie Sharp and Tommy Brooks, James Ray Mixon; Grandchildren and Spouses: Kerri and Blake Carrier, Virgil Polezcek, Brittany and James Hampton, Dale and Lyndan Mixon, Hunter and Rosita Mixon, Christopher and Bailee Mixon, Christal Mixon; Great-grandchildren: Keith Wayne, Kayden, Brenleigh, Cayleigh, Landrum, Brooklynn, Zander, Atticus, Richard, Raighlyn, Rayden; Mother: Doris Busby Cox; Sister: Donna Cox and Donald, Jr.; Brothers and Sisters in law: Roger and Rae Ross, Troy and Stephanie Cox; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her father Landrum Ray Ross, sister Heather Cox, son in law Wayne Polezcek, boyfriend John Birch and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Tuesday December 23rd from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Bro. Chris Baham officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.
