Hezekiah Torrence, Jr.

April 21, 1954 - December 20, 2025

Hezekiah Torrence, Jr. was the second of the three children born to the late Hezekiah Torrence, Sr and Pauline Robinson Torrence. Hezekiah Torrence, Jr., age 71 was born on April 21, 1954 in Bogalusa, La., and he was taken by Death, an unwelcome guest on December 20, 2025 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, La.

He graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1972 and thereafter joined the United States Army. A few years after his departure from the army he returned to Bogalusa where he was employed with the Bogalusa School System as a maintenance worker. After leaving the school system, he became employed as a poultry worker with Sanderson Farm in Hammond, La.

His life will forever be cherished by his sons: Hezekiah Torrence, III and Antoine Torrence of Baton Rouge, LA; and daughter Katrina Thorton of Houston, TX: sister Veronica Thompson (Billy) of Pearland, TX: nieces Yoshiko LaToi Harry of Lewisville, TX, Tailer Black (Jamal) of Garland, TX, and Chloe’ Williams (Bryan) of Midlothian, TX.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Pauline Robinson Torrence, his father: Hezekiah Torrence, Sr., his sister: Sharon Ann Harry and a niece: Tiffany Redditt.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 12:00PM – 2:00PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home 809 East Third Street, Bogalusa, LA with Rev. Charlie Perkins – Officiating. Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangement.
