Betty Jane Hatcher Edwards

Betty Jane Hatcher Edwards, a resident of Mt. Hermon, LA, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 16, 1944 in Eupora, MS and was 81 years of age.
Betty was a very selfless person who spent her life caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family and always made a lot out of a little. Betty enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening, and raising calves. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by 4 children, John Edwards (Cheryl), Rev. William Edwards (Linda "Sissy"), Tracy Edwards (Karen), and Sonja McCann (Hardy); 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hardy Edwards; son, Ricky Joe Edwards; parents, Virgil and Minnie Hatcher; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation at Sunny Hill Baptist Church from 10:00AM until religious services at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Services conducted by Rev. William Edwards. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mount Hermon, LA.
