Warren Cooke
July 22, 1941 - November 19, 2025
Warren Cooke was born in McComb, Mississippi on July 22, 1941 and passed away peacefully Wednesday morning November 19, 2025. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge and worked in the financial and banking industry most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, motorcycles, and coaching his son’s soccer teams. Warren lived in Houma, Louisiana for many years and was very active in the Rotary Club there and was a Paul Harris Fellow. After retiring, he moved to Franklinton, his wife’s hometown, and became very involved with disaster relief through First Baptist Church and traveled to a number of states doing mud-outs or, his favorite, the chainsaw ministry.
Survived by: Wife of 52 years: Beverly Fussell Cooke; Son and Daughter in law: Warren Cooke, Jr. and Stacie Cooke of Franklinton; Daughter and Son in law: Robin Cooke Naramore and Dakota Naramore of Franklinton; Daughters and a Son in law: Autumn and Holland Heath, Tonia Bailey all of Grenada, MS; Grandchildren and Spouses: Ashley Johnson of West Monroe, Kaitlyn and Aaron Darby of Breaux Bridge, Christopher and McKinley Colletti of New Iberia, Cole Colletti, Emma Cooke, Madelyn Perez, Granger Naramore and newborn Maverick Naramore all of Franklinton, Cole Bailey of Tall River, MA, Anna Claire Phillips of Granada, Devin Bailey of Grenada; Brother and Sister in law: Charles M. and Kathy Cooke of Magnolia, MS; Brother in law and Sister in law: Ben and Lou Fussell of Franklinton
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Magee Cooke and Nina Corrine McMurtray Cooke, sister Frances Rae Cooke, grandparents Rodney Ray McMurtray and Iva Ruth Turnage, father in law and mother in law Clyde and Ora Marie Fussell
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Monday November 24th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev. Paul Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the Acts 1:8 Fund for disaster relief or the Washington Parish Food Bank, both through First Baptist Church of Franklinton (950 Self Street, Franklinton, LA 70438).
